Sayo Costantino - Operations Director
Sayo brings over ten years of environmental education experience to Loko Ea. Her goal is to share her passion of nature, culture and preserving open spaces with students. Sayo splits her time with Mālama Loko Ea and Mālama Learning Center who works to teach and inspire communities to create healthy living environments running programs such as WithOutWall Workshops, Mālaola Hula Garden, and weekly educational lessons at Mākeke Kapolei. Prior to MLEF, Sayo worked in California as a program director with KIDS for the BAY, running programs that worked with students and the community to learn about and become stewards of their environment. Sayo’s environmental education path started working for the US Forest Service taking families on a first camping experience in their local mountains, it was there she realized you can’t ask people to care for what they donʻt know…
When she’s not at Loko Ea, Sayo loves cooking (and eating!), fiber arts, long distance walking and exploring the world. Please share your mana’o with Sayo, call her at 808 637-3232 or email her at [email protected]. |
