Its been fun jumping right into the thick of things, and I can’t wait for what the rest of the year holds for me! I just graduated from Kamehameha Schools, and I decided to take a gap year to be confident in what I choose as my major and potential career for the rest of my life instead of ultimately having no goal and meandering my way through the first years of college. I live all the way in Kapolei, but coming to Loko ea is perfect because I can enjoy my music and the amazing views when looking out at the North Shore. I love hanging out with my friends and chilling inside my house worrying about my future because although I took a gap year, college takes up a lot of my mental space. What major should I choose? Should I try to graduate within three years? Restoration Ecology? Environmental Sociology? Both? There are so many options, but they all include the environment somewhere because I believe that the future of this Earth should be at the forefront of society’s collective mind.
