My name is Onaona, born and raised in Waipahu right here on the mokupuni of Oʻahualua. I'm an intern at Loko Ea and I absolutely love it here! I love the mission, the staff (who have become such great friends), THE NURSERY, and working ʻaina. My passions are definitely Hawaiian Studies, music, and laughing. I graduated from Pearl City High School in 2019 and I'm a Hawaiian Studies Major at Leeward Community College. Currently, I'm taking a gap year to make space for the MLEF internship, which is super awesome because Loko ea is super cool! I love eating good food, kanikapila, learning more about native plants, singing, cracking a good dad joke, and going beach! It's actually so funny because youʻll hear me singing and laughing everywhere and anywhere. I'd like to think it's contagious!
