Ikaika Lum
Position: Kulaiwi Nani Restoration Program Director
Ikaika is from Waipiʻo, Oʻahu and graduated from Mililani High School in 2000. In 2011, Ikaika received his BA in both Hawaiian Language and Studies. Prior to working at Loko Ea, Ikaika has worked for the Hoʻoulu Project at Leeward Community College for nine years, serving Native Hawaiian students majoring in career and technical education fields, while co-founding the Makalapua Ulumāhiehie Hawaiian gardens on Leeward campus. In 2012, Ikaika was brought on board to help with the restoration process by way of establishing native plants throughout the property and since then, he has been propagating plants on and off site for future plantings while bringing a fresh new inviting landscape to Loko ea.
Ikaika enjoys cooking, playing music, learning languages, and traveling . |
